Opti Race Team

Interested youth from the community and who are often involved in Sausalito Yacht Club sail training camps choose to further develop sailing skills and enjoy the competitive racing of Optimist Sailboats under the Sausalito Yacht Club Burgee.  These boys and girls are provided coaching by Sausalito Yacht Club instructors and are given the opportunity to sail around the Bay Area against other youth sailors.  The Sausalito Youth Sailing Foundation sponsors some of the youth racers and helps fund sailing equipment.
